The 230SL Mercedes Benz 250SL and 280SL and its successors (1963 – 1971)

As for the first time in the history of Mercedes-Benz, the car was shown to the press, two weeks before it was officially on 14 March 1963 at the Motor Show in Geneva launched. This will ensure that their reports were made on or before the official release date of the car. This Benz was anticipated and no one knew if we follow the 300SL 190SL powerful or popular. Not follow any of them. As Professor Fritz Nallinger, chief engineer and member of the board, the new Mercedes-Benz 230SL, internally known as W 113, announced created a kind of shock. When Erich Waxenberger talented engineer Rudolf Uhlenhaut once said, the car looked like a tree fell on him was. The roof was, well … unusual. But not only the roof created some excitement, was the performance of the car. Everyone expected a successor to the legendary 300 SL.

Daimler-Benz, of course, remained steadfast in his approach to the role of the new SL. There was neither a 190SL 300SL. It was a tour of high-performance sports car with superior handling characteristics, the two passengers plus luggage were in style, comfort and above all safety wear. It was a Mercedes Benz to a large extent on their own. To show the sports side, Uhlenhaut, always available for a quick blast around a race track, the 230SL pushed by a 1.5 km loop circuit near Montreux, in the presence of the press. Mercedes Benz SLK is a dream car, one of the best-looking sports car ever made, a true icon of style and repairs. And for 2011 the German manufacturer has third generation of the cult roadster.

As you might expect, the new Mercedes Benz SLK is extremely responsive and offers excellent comfort. This car is meant to be used every day, all weather, but also offers a peak performance – every day will be very pleasant. Striking design emphasizes the classic roadster proportions, with a long bonnet, compact passenger compartment is far back and a short tail. For the third generation model, the bonnet and wings are made of aluminum.

One of the first features that will catch your eye is large upright radiator grille that sports star a brand new Mercedes-Benz equipped with fins and chrome take. Headlights – using all-LED technology – has a retro look, similar to that of the SL 190 in the year 1950. The designers, however, has the impression that binds to the new model Gullwing ‘Mercedes-Benz CLS AMG and the new SLS.

Why would you buy a car if you buy a van? One of the best-selling Ford model in the U.S. is a Mercedes Vito van, after all. They are spacious and very useful when you want to go to the end.

But they are slow, noisy and fuel-wasting time, your answer. I used to think the same, but the van has a long way since the bucket of rust won last year. Take the Mercedes-Benz Vito van for example. This does not slow, (especially if you opt for 3-liter diesel – or even three-liter gasoline version). As for noise, Mercedes-Benz had the best team on what the manufacturers physical violence, noise and vibration. Dashboard switch, bulkheads and many sound all mean that today more like a car Vito today.

Of course, if you are driving and the noise level of the S Class Mercedes Vito and compare you can see clearly the difference, but with the average family car or van and you will be encouraged to tell the difference at all.

In the luxury sport sedan segment, it does not get any better than Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. Yes, some cars vie neck-and-neck with it, Aia a number of them in a new Infiniti M56, BMW M5, Jaguar XF-R, and enhanced-up Cadillac CTS-V. This AOS, however, it is best to compare to the E63 for a Mercedes, AMG C63 AOS cousins ??that have many features. E63 2010, though, just a piece of sheet metal and driving rhythm to stare it’s just pure euphoria.

E63 AMG has a hell-of-a power-train, and the devil in the numbers. This AOS 6.3L, hand-built by AMG engine pumps 517 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of wild great torque. 0-60 mph, you might ask? A blistering fast 4.4 seconds and, unfortunately, has a governor that limits the beast, for the demolition of 155 mph. However, if you must, there is an optional Performance Package (if you already doesn, AOT enough, Äúperformance, AU!) The E63 allows you to push the rocket to 186 mph. AOS is that for larger cars with more than 500 horsepower, it’s not really good with an average of 18-19 mpg in mixed driving.
